Today's goal is to get the queen back into the hive
I succeeded in getting the queen back into the hive - I dumped her into the middle of the hive where she immediately starting crawling around and went down between the middle frames. I carefully put the hive lid on and hoped for the best.
I noticed that even though the queen was put in the hive, the bees that had clustered around her went back to where she was under the hive.
